St Benedict’s Caverns is regarded by many as New Zealand prettiest or 'best dressed' cave. You can abseil and then explore what is one of New Zealand’s most special and picturesque places.

The trip is relatively gentle, dry and is not physically demanding. St Benedicts Cavern is a great option if you are looking for something not too cold and wet, but still sporty with lots of activity and fun! St Benedict's includes 2 abseils and a spectacular underground flying fox. Just imagine yourself flying past the stalactites! 

 You’ll be truly amazed with what’s hidden underneath the beautiful farm landscape. Allow 3.5 hours for this trip, including approximately 1.5 hours underground. No prior experience necessary, trips depart daily and bookings are essential.

There are five amazing options to choose from - each with its own features and level of fitness. Choose one to suit you - wet or dry - hard or easy - snakes or no snakes (just kidding - you're in NZ now).

All Blackwater Rafting trips at Waitomo include walking and wading as well as swimming and tubing. A wide range of people can do it - even right down to 12 years old and weight no less than 40kgs. Your wetsuit gives you lots of flotation.You will however get fully wet! Remember that not all caves (or operators for that matter) are created equal. Generally you will get what you pay for.

The Waitomo Adventure Centre is open 363 days from 7.00am until 7.00pm - that's every day except Christmas and New Years days. So basically, if you can't see a fat guy with a funny red suit - we're open. All equipment supplied. No experience required. You just need a big smile and attitude!

All equipment is supplied and a high ratio of well trained guides (1:4).Our changing and showering facilities are the best at Waitomo and all our activities are Qualmark endorsed.
