Rangihau Ranch is set in the picturesque bush-clad hills and valleys of Coroglen, an area with a colourful pioneering history.

You will leave Rangihau Ranch riding on one of 30 trek horses following the original packhorse trail known as the Gentle Annie. Experience the history and trail that was used to lead over 50 packhorses to the camps high above, over 100 years ago.

When you get to the top you will be welcomed by one of the most spectacular views of the Coromandel Peninsula. Out in the distance you will see rugged ranges, native bush, and the rolling farm lands with the Whitianga harbour sparkling behind them.

Your Rangihau Ranch trek can last 1, 1.5 or 2 hours, with horses to suit all abilities. Rangihau Ranch has lead-rein ponies to take pre schoolers on a 1/2 hour ride.
