Precision Helicopters Ltd (PHL) provide superb scenic flights over most regions, showcasing our country’s natural beauty.

Precision Helicopters offer several tours but are also able to provide a flight tailored to your requirements. PHL pilots have good local knowledge and will be able to assist in choosing the best flight to fit your time, plans and budget.

All helicopters only have forward facing seats giving every passenger an excellent view through the front of the aircraft. In many cases, the pilot can hover or land to allow passengers to take in the breath-taking sights. Windows can also be opened for the photo enthusiast to capture amazing unobstructed shots from the air.

White Cliffs Beach
A superb flight along the North Taranaki ocean coast line to the spectacular White Cliffs. Fly along the stunning beach and soar with the gulls! Hover over the cliffs with views over the Pukearuhe Historic Reserve.

Three Sisters
Fly to the famous Three Sisters rock formation at the mouth of the Tongaporutu river and land at the Tongaporutu Whitecliffs Station. Best visited at low tide where you can explore the coastal caves.

Mt Taranaki Volcano Tour
No New Plymouth vacation is complete without a helicopter ride over the mountain! Hover above Mt Taranaki and the surrounding ranges of Pouakai and Kaitake. You will be talking about this trip long after your holiday is over!

Jurassic Waterfall Adventure Tour
A real expedition and our all time favourite trip! Fly along the coastline to the mouth of the Tongaparutu river, travelling up the Hutawai wetland (The longest coastal wetland in the North Island.)

Land at the base of the falls and experience a short walk or even a swim if the weather’s good. Why not take a picnic or simply enjoy the tranquility. The rocks at the base of the falls contain ancient fossils which are truly amazing.

Weather
Although Precision Helicopters can fly in most conditions, the weather has to be good to get the most out of your experience. Should the weather turn poor, PHL will simply move your flight to a later time or date.

Safety
Before boarding your flight, you will be given a comprehensive safety briefing. If you have any concerns, please discuss these with your pilot who will assist in any way possible. Safety is paramount to PHL. To date, PHL have accumulated over 10,000 incident free flight hours. PHL operate under a CAA audited exposition.

All PHL helicopters are safe, modern and reliable and maintained by external accredited maintenance providers. PHL pilots are highly experienced. You will be flying in very safe hands!
