Cambridge Thoroughbred Lodge

Cambridge Thoroughbred Lodge is the only place in New Zealand where you can see many different breeds of horse in their Native Costume, from the Miniature Horse to the Thoroughbred Racehorse, you will be entertained and educated, into the wonderful world of the Horse.

The venue for the New Zealand Horse Magic Show is set on a 100 acre farm in a picturesque rural setting on the Rotorua Thermal Highway on SH1, 25 minutes from Hamilton.

A Ringmaster presents the show, and audience participation is encouraged. Afterwards there is the opportunity to ride a horse, which becomes a 'Unique Experience' rarely experienced.

One of the most famous horses in the show is New Zealand's ROUGH HABIT, the famous racehorse who won $5.2 million and was named NZ Horse of the Year twice. Also CHRISTOPHER VANCE, the famous standardbred who won $2.5 million, winning races such as the Sydney Miracle Mile, the NZ Free For All, and the Great Northern Derby.

The New Zealand Horse Magic Show has different breeds; the Kaimaniwa, the New Zealand wild horse; Thoroughbred; Standardbred; Appaloosa, to name just a few.

The show lasts approximately 1 hour. This includes a complimentary morning or afternoon tea, with a tour and short horse ride after the show.
