Briars Horse Trek, is Bay of Plenty's premier seaside horse trekking operation.

Briars Horse Treks will give you a once-in-a-lifetime horse trekking adventure. Ride along side the Pacific Ocean, over rolling green farmlands with unsurpassed views of the coastal Bay of Plenty and beyond.

You will feel the wind on your face and hear the seashells on the beach crunching under your horses’ hooves.

Briars Horse Treks have beautiful, happy crossbred horses that are chosen  for their calm, reliable  natures.

Each ride is briefed with safety and ‘how to’ procedures, new riders are given a free lesson to ensure they know how to whoa and go.

Bookings are essential. Treks range from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours and cater for all abilities. For experienced riders there is also a choice of a 3-hour trek or overnight trek.

 Non-riders are more than welcome to walk along the gorgeous Newdicks Beach and meet with their companions and perhaps take the perfect holiday snapshot with Briars Horse Treks.
