Baton Run Horse Treks offers you quality horses on backcountry tracks bordering Kahurangi National Park.

Your host Fiona will escort you on your choice of a one to five day horse trek through Nelson's untamed back country. The Baton Run is located at the top of New Zealand's South Island, 50 minutes from Abel Tasman National Park.

Baton Run Horse Treks offers an experience well off the beaten track. Fiona will share her unrivalled knowledge of this special corner of the world with you.

With over 5000 acres of land to ride on, you'll move through a variety of landscapes, winding through native bush, listening to the call of the Tui and Bell Bird, and cantering across green fields surrounded by rugged mountains ranges.

The Baton Run lies along the banks of the Baton & Ellis Rivers. The main part of the farm is 350 hectares with 404 hectares of bush nestled in behind it.

The number of participants in the treks are kept small (five people or less) and personal, you will be well looked after while still experiencing a unique sense of adventure. Come and explore five unique valleys bordering the Kahurangi National Park.

Provided are two fully equipped cabins with creative interiors for you to stay in. The Honeywell Hut, next to the Baton River, has a superb private swimming hole, and the Alpine Hut has rugged mountain and valley views over Tasman and beyond.
